It was reranked as Grateloupia (Cytheriopsis) by Harris (1919), Clark and Durham (1946).

It was assigned to Grateloupia by Harris (1919), Clark and Durham (1946); to Meretricinae by Vokes (1980), Woodring (1982); and to Veneroida by Sepkoski (2002).
