Triplosoba pulchella
Taxonomy
Blanchardia pulchella was named by Brongniart (1894). Its type specimen is MNHN.F.R51092, an exoskeleton (dorso-ventro preserved complete insect with outstretched wings), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Commentry (MNHN Brongniart coll), which is in a Gzhelian lacustrine deltaic shale in the Commentry Shales Formation of France. It is the type species of Triplosoba, Blanchardia.
It was recombined as Triplosoba pulchella by Handlirsch (1906), Lameere (1917), Handlirsch (1922), Demoulin (1956), Carpenter (1963), Prokop and Nel (2009), Béthoux (2015).
