Taxonomy
Kungurmica tshekardensis was named by Novokshonov (1998). Its type specimen is PIN 1700/3185, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Chekarda, Sylva River (PIN collection 1700), which is in a Kungurian deltaic siliciclastic in the Koshelevka Formation of the Russian Federation.
