Taxonomy
Phaseolops sepositus was named by Whittington (1963). Its type specimen is GSC 16148, an exoskeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Alpha Boulder, Table Head, which is in a Whiterockian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in Canada. It is the type species of Phaseolops.
