Taxonomy
Asthenohymen minutus was named by Zimmerman (1962). Its type specimen is Univ Wichita 1213, a hindwing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Tasch Nobel V, Bed 7, which is in an Artinskian lacustrine limestone in the Wellington Formation of Oklahoma.
