Taxonomy
Gansuella was named by Ma (1986) [Sepkoski's age data: J u Sepkoski's reference number: ZR86]. It is not extant. Its type is Gansuella xinminpuensis.

It was assigned to Veneroida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Neomiodontidae by Ma (1986) and Fang et al. (2009).
