Taxonomy
Martynovia halli was named by Beckemeyer (2004) [Johnson Geol. Mus., Emporia State Univ.]. Its type specimen is R9-05-01-2003-01, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Midco Locality 16 (ESU Collection), which is in an Artinskian lacustrine limestone in the Wellington Formation of Oklahoma.
