Proelectrotermes fodinae

Taxonomy
Parotermes fodinae was named by Scudder (1883). Its type specimen is MCZ 4110, an exoskeleton (Complete body), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Florissant (MCZ Collection), which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.

It was synonymized subjectively with Prokalotermes hageni by Emerson (1933); it was recombined as Proelectrotermes fodinae by Emerson (1969), Nel and Paicheler (1993), Fontes and Vulcano (1998), Krishna et al. (2013).
