Protopliomerops quattuor
Taxonomy
Protopliomerops quattuor was named by Hintze (1953) [Paratypes: 26388-9, 26391-3 (AMNH). Questionably assigned to genus by author.]. Its type specimen is 26390 (AMNH), a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is H-20, which is in a Blackhillsian open shallow subtidal grainstone in the Fillmore Formation of Utah.
