Primaspis ascitus
Taxonomy
Primaspis ascitus was named by Whittington (1956) [Paratypes: USNM 116516a-h]. Its type specimen is USNM 116515, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Loc. 10, Greenmount Church area, which is in a Chatfieldian carbonate shale in the Martinsburg Formation of Virginia.
