Taxonomy
Merlax bohemicus was named by Prokop and Nel (2000). Its type specimen is P419, a wing (Both pair of wings), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Bilina mine, Bílina (Clayey Superseam horizon), which is in a MN 3 lacustrine - small claystone in the Most Formation of the Czech Republic. It is the type species of Merlax.
