Taxonomy
Valdaeshna andressi was named by Bechly et al. (2001). Its type specimen is MNEMG 1996.222, a hindwing (basal part of female hindwing), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Clockhouse Brickworks (MNEMG collection), which is in a Hauterivian lagoonal mudstone in the Weald Clay Formation of the United Kingdom.
