Taxonomy
Progomphaeschnaoides ursulae was named by Bechly et al. (2001). Its type specimen is SMNK 2357 PAL, an exoskeleton (female), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Crato (SMNK collection), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large carbonate in the Crato Formation of Brazil.
