Taxonomy
Baissaeshna zherikhini was named by Bechly et al. (2001). Its type specimen is PIN 3064/3146, a wing (left pair of wings), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Baissa (PIN collection 3064), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large marl in the Zaza Formation of the Russian Federation.
