Wightonia araripina
Taxonomy
Wightonia araripina was named by Carle and Wighton (1990). Its type specimen is AMNH 53268, a hindwing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Crato (AMNH collection), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large carbonate in the Crato Formation of Brazil.
It was recombined as Leptaeschnidium araripina by Fleck and Nel (2003).
