Taxonomy
Cordulagomphus (Procordulagomphus) senckenbergi was named by Bechly (1998). Its type specimen is Senckenberg C7, an exoskeleton (male), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Crato (SMF collection), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large carbonate in the Crato Formation of Brazil.
