Taxonomy
Liogomphus yixianensis was named by Ren and Guo (1996). Its type specimen is LB 94020, a wing (Male with three wings and Thorax), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Near Chaomidian Village (GMC Beijing coll), which is in a Barremian lacustrine - large mudstone in the Yixian Formation of China.
