Taxonomy
Archaeogomphus labius was named by Lin (1976). It is an impression. Its type locality is AAI512, Dakangpu village, which is in a Barremian lacustrine - large shale in the Yixian Formation of China.
It was recombined as Yixiangomphus labius by Lin (1986); it was synonymized subjectively with Aeschnidium heishankowensis by Zhang (1999); it was considered a nomen dubium by Nel and Paicheler (1994), Fleck et al. (2002).
