Bergeriaeschnidia inexpectata
Taxonomy
Bergeriaeschnidia inexpectata was named by Nel et al. (1996). Its type specimen is Berger Museum no. 6, an exoskeleton (Complete specimen missing apex of right wings), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Eichstätt, Solnhofen (Museum Bergér collection), which is in a Tithonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Solnhofen Formation of Germany. It is the type species of Bergeriaeschnidia.
It was synonymized objectively with Bergeriaeschnidia abscissa by Bechly (1998).
