Taxonomy
Lleidoaeschnidium maculatum was named by Fleck and Nel (2003). Its type specimen is MNEMG S 1580, a hindwing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Smokejacks Brickworks, which is in a Barremian pond claystone/siltstone in the Weald Clay Formation of the United Kingdom.
