Taxonomy
Dracontaeschnidium orientale was named by Zhang and Zhang (2001). Its type specimen is B97602, a hindwing (incomplete hindwing), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Huangbanjigou, Shangyuan Town, NIGP collection, which is in a Barremian lacustrine - large mudstone in the Yixian Formation of China.
