Taxonomy
Diastatopaeschnidium reneeheiko was named by Fleck and Nel (2003). Its type specimen is MNEMG DB 175 Odon 1, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Durlston Bay, Bed DB175, Swanage (MNEMG collection), which is in a Berriasian lagoonal siliciclastic in the Durlston Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Diastatopaeschnidium.
