Tarsophlebia eximia
Taxonomy
Heterophlebia eximia was named by Hagen (1862). Its type specimen is BSPGM AS VI 44, a hindwing (Hindwing), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Solnhofen (BSPGM Munich coll), which is in a Tithonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Solnhofen Formation of Germany. It is the type species of Tarsophlebia.
It was recombined as Tarsophlebia eximia by Hagen (1866), Deichmüller (1886), Kirby (1890), Meunier (1897), Handlirsch (1906), Carpenter (1932), Ponomarenko (1985), Nel et al. (1993), Fleck et al. (2004).
