Mesotitan giganteus
Taxonomy
Mesotitan giganteus was named by Tillyard (1916). Its type specimen is GSQI22, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Carrington Brick Company's clay pit, St Peter's (Dunstan collection), which is in a Pelsonian/Illyrian pond claystone in the Ashfield Shale Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Mesotitan.
