Taxonomy
Dorsettia was named by Whalley (1985). It is not extant. Its type is Dorsettia laeta.

It was assigned to Archithemistidae by Whalley (1985); and to Campterophlebiidae by Nel et al. (1993), Zheng et al. (2016).
