Taxonomy
Oreophlebia abanica was named by Pritykina (1985). Its type specimen is PIN 2366/1, a hindwing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Voznesenye (PIN collection 2366), which is in an Aalenian/Bajocian terrestrial horizon in the Pereyaslovskaya Formation of the Russian Federation.
