Taxonomy
Samarura punctaticaudata was named by Hong (1983). Its type specimen is H8017, a nymph, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Zhouyingzi village, Luoping County (GMC Beijing collection), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large mudstone in the Jiulongshan Formation of China.
