Hemerobioides giganteus
Taxonomy
Hemerobioides giganteus was named by Westwood (1845). It is an impression. Its type locality is 8 km north-east of Witney, near the village of Stonesfield (Brodie Coll), which is in a Bathonian marine shale in the Taunton Limestone Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Hemerobioides.
It was recombined as Isophlebia gigantea by Handlirsch (1906), Handlirsch (1907); it was considered a nomen nudum by Buckland (1838).
