Paleopsilopterus itaboraiensis

Taxonomy
Paleopsilopterus itaboraiensis was named by Alvarenga (1985). Its type specimen is MNRJ-4040-V, a set of limb elements (Proximal portion of the right tarsometatarsus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is São José de Itaborai, which is in an Eocene fissure fill marl in the Itaboraí Formation of Brazil.
