Taxonomy
Labandeiraia europae was named by Petrulevičius et al. (2007). Its type specimen is MM 5-2902 , a hindwing (Possible Hindwing), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Fur Formation, which is in a Ypresian offshore diatomite in the Fur Formation of Denmark.
