Resatrix was named by Casey (1952) [Sepkoski's age data: K l K Camp Sepkoski's reference number: 914]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Pitarinae by Vokes (1980); to Veneroida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Meretricinae by Wild and Stilwell (2016).
