Taxonomy
Honania was named by Li (1965) [in Lu et al.]. It is not extant. Its type is Honania lata.

It was synonymized subjectively with Grandioculus by Jell and Adrain (2002).

It was assigned to Proasaphiscidae by Zhou and Zhen (2008).
