Taxonomy
Retzia fuchsi was named by Koken (1900).

It was recombined as Neoretzia fuchsi by Yang and Xu (1966), Feng and Jiang (1978); it was recombined as Schwagerispira fuchsi by Sun and Ye (1982), Guo et al. (2019).
