Taxonomy
Euryphyllum boreale was named by Fedorowski and Bamber (2001). Its type specimen is GSC 117159 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC C-10460, Van Hauen Pass, Ellesmere Island (52.7 m), which is in a Capitanian carbonate limestone in the Degerbols Formation of Canada.
