Taxonomy
Falsiamplexus flexibilis was named by Fedorowski (1987). Its type specimen is USNM 196798 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USNM728e, Victorio Canyon, Sierra Diablo, which is in a Kungurian shallow subtidal limestone in the Bone Spring Formation of Texas.
