Taxonomy
Ipciphyllum stereoseptatum was named by Zhang (1977). Its type specimen is IV 16008 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lalang, Yishan County, which is in a Wuchiapingian carbonate limestone in the Heshan Formation of China.
