Taxonomy
Strophalosia kaneviensis was named by Kalashnikov (1993). Its type specimen is KNTs UrO PAN 279/74 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Podcherem River, northern Urals, which is in a Sakmarian marine horizon in the Russian Federation.
