Taxonomy
Megarhyphus rectinervis was named by Kovalev (1990). Its type specimen is PIN 4099/31, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Onokhoy (PIN collection 4099), which is in an Aptian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Godymboyskaya Formation of the Russian Federation.
