Taxonomy
Brachyopteryx weichangensis was named by Hong (1984). It is an impression. Its type locality is Daobaliang, Weichang County, which is in a Hauterivian lacustrine - large shale in the Dabeigou Formation of China. It is the type species of Brachyopteryx.
