Prohemeroscopus jurassicus
Taxonomy
Prohemeroscopus jurassicus was named by Bechly et al. (1998). Its type specimen is JME SOS 1716a, an exoskeleton (Nearly complete male), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Blumenberg quarry, Eichstätt, Solnhofen (Jura Museum JME collection), which is in a Tithonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Solnhofen Formation of Germany. It is the type species of Prohemeroscopus.
