Reisia gelasii
Taxonomy
Handlirschia gelasii was named by Reis (1909). Its type specimen is BSPGM 1908 I 49, a wing (Fragment of mid part of wing), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Münnerstadt, which is in a Pelsonian carbonate limestone in the Jena Formation of Germany. It is the type species of Reisia, Handlirschia.
It was synonymized subjectively with Triadotypus guillaumei by Laurentiaux-Vieira et al. (1952); it was recombined as Reisia gelasii by Handlirsch (1912), Bechly (1997), Nel et al. (2001), Deregnaucourt et al. (2017) and Béthoux and Anderson (2023).
