Kargalotypus kargalensis
Taxonomy
Megatypus kargalensis was named by Martynov (1932). Its type specimen is PIN 968/1, a wing (Apical Fragment), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Kargala (PIN collection 968), which is in a Capitanian terrestrial mudstone in the Amanak Formation of the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Kargalotypus kargalensis by Brauckmann and Zessin (1989), Nel et al. (2001).
