Italomyrmeleon bergomensis

Taxonomy
Italomyrmeleon bergomensis was named by Bechly (1997). Its type specimen is Museo Civico di Scienze Naturali Bergamo 6678, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Ponte Giurino, Valle Imagna (MSNB collection), which is in a Sevatian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal shale in the Argilliti di Riva di Solto Formation of Italy. It is the type species of Italomyrmeleon.
