Taxonomy
Asthenohymen stigmatizans was named by Tillyard (1926). Its type specimen is YPM 5046, a hindwing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Elmo, YPM 1921 collection, which is in an Artinskian pond limestone in the Wellington Formation of Kansas.
