Kansasia pulchra
Taxonomy
Kansasia pulchra was named by Tillyard (1937). Its type specimen is YPM 15589, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Elmo, YPM 1921 collection, which is in an Artinskian pond limestone in the Wellington Formation of Kansas. It is the type species of Kansasia.
