Mesorthopteron locustoides
Taxonomy
Mesorthopteron locustoides was named by Tillyard (1916). Its type specimen is GSQI5, a tegmen (fragment), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Denmark Hill Insect Bed (Dunstan 1909 collection), which is in a Norian pond siltstone in the Blackstone Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Mesorthopteron.
