It was synonymized subjectively with Alicula by Carpenter (1992), Storozhenko (1998).

It was assigned to Lepiidae by Handlirsch (1919), Handlirsch (1922); to Blattinopsidae by Guthörl (1934); to Liomopteridae by Kukalová (1964); to Permulidae by Aristov and Storozhenko (2011); to Permotermopsidae by Aristov (2015); and to Paoliidae by Nel and Poschmann (2021).
