Postfallotaspis was named by Orlowski (1985) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Atda-u Sepkoski's reference number: 885]. It is not extant. Its type is Postfallotaspis spinatus.
It was assigned to Olenellina by Palmer and Repina (1993); to Olenellida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Holmiidae by Jell and Adrain (2002).
