Taxonomy
Lophophyllidium robustum was named by Lin and Rodriguez (1994). Its type specimen is Kmc61-17 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jiangbu Temple, Shamada, Kangmar County, which is in a Wuchiapingian marine limestone in the Baidingpu Formation of China.
