Taxonomy
Lonsdaleiastraea yamanbaensis was named by Minato (1949). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Yamamba Limestone, Sakawa Ciy, which is in a Roadian carbonate limestone in the Yamamba Limestone Formation of Japan.
